Maroondah Reservoir Park is a must-see in the Yarra Valley. The park is filled with playgrounds, manicured lawns and plenty of shade, making it the perfect picnic spot in the warmer months of the year. The Rose Steps Rotunda is a popular barbecue spot providing shade and seating close to the amenities and with great views from the dam spillway viewing area. Perfect for nature lovers, the reservoir is also home to a range of native and exotic trees as well as native animals and birds that can be spotted on the various walking tracks. There are four different tracks that wind through the park and provide great views of the area. The Lookout Track is a 1km walk that crosses over the dam wall, climbs the Rose Stairway and provide spectacular views of the valley. The Scenic Views Track winds through grassed areas with large exotic trees to provide breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Also, the Henderson’s Hill Track is the longest of them all, totalling 1.4 kilometres, it climbs to the top of Henderson’s Hill and back down to Donnellys Weir.
